Words this game anthology keeps next to the cards
These are the labels we actually met on the five cards. A term that never appeared is not here.
- Contains ads
- A badge on the Play header. It was present on all five cards we opened.
- In-app purchases
- A badge meaning the listing offers buys inside the app. Geometry Dash Lite did not show this badge.
- Star figure
- The number next to the star icon on the card, such as 4.7. We sort the spine by it.
- Review count
- The figure under the stars, printed as 853K or 7.78M reviews. We copy the abbreviation the card uses.
- Download band
- Play’s public bucket, such as 10M+ or 500M+. It is not an exact install total.
- Everyone
- The content-rating line on Cut the Rope, Smash Hit and Plants vs. Zombies 2.
- Everyone 10+
- The content-rating line on Kingdom Rush and Geometry Dash Lite.
- Updated on
- The date Play prints for the last update. It is not the date we checked the card.
- Package id
- The id in the store URL, for example com.mediocre.smashhit. We print it on its own line.
- Developer line
- The name linked under the title. We keep the capitals Play uses, including ELECTRONIC ARTS and Mediocre.
- Kids
- The category chip Play showed beside these listings, pointing at the FAMILY category.
- Data safety
- The block where the developer declares sharing, collection, encryption and deletion. We do not translate the categories into a finer list.
- Encrypted in transit
- A line present on every data-safety block we read.
- Deletion line
- Either “Data can’t be deleted” or “You can request that data be deleted”, copied as printed.
- Play Pass
- Named in the Cut the Rope about text as one way ads can be switched off, along with a subscription or a special offer.
- Virtual currency
- The Plants vs. Zombies 2 description says optional purchases of virtual currency can buy items, including a random selection of items.
- Lite
- The Geometry Dash listing’s own name. Its about text points readers at a full version for more levels, soundtracks, achievements and an online level editor.
- Practice mode
- Named in the Geometry Dash Lite feature list on the card.
- Plant Food
- Named in the Plants vs. Zombies 2 description as a way to supercharge plants.
- Tower upgrades
- Named in the Kingdom Rush description as part of the defense plan, with specializations.
- Offline
- Claimed in the Kingdom Rush description for its tower-defense battles, and in the Cut the Rope description for play without a connection.
